When did you last do something caring for someone and deliberately let it go unnoticed?
In later devotional practice, mañjarīs are imagined as Rādhā's youngest attendants — close enough to assist in her most intimate moments with Kṛṣṇa, but oriented entirely toward her happiness rather than their own. A mañjarī is a flower bud: near the blossom, carrying its fragrance, without trying to become it. This is a devotional emphasis particular to later Gauḍīya practice, not a framework shared identically across every tradition.

They show devotion that seeks no center of its own — service so unobtrusive it becomes a form of love rather than a claim to attention.
