Lalitā

Part of Goloka

Ornamental marker for Lalitā, leader of the eight sakhīs.

Leader of the eight principal — devotion fierce enough to speak plainly, even to Kṛṣṇa himself.

At one of the lotus petal tips immediately surrounding Kṛṣṇa and Rādhā.

She's often described as the most outspoken of the eight — proof that closeness to Kṛṣṇa doesn't require constant deference.

The people closest to you should be able to tell you the truth plainly. If they can't, something about the closeness isn't real yet.
