Kṛṣṇa is different with different people, and that's not inconsistency. The same person can be casual with one friend and formal with another without either version being fake.

Three Divisions of Kṛṣṇaloka

Kṛṣṇa's own realm is described through three principal divisions: Gokula/Vṛndāvana, Mathurā, and Dvārakā. They are distinguished by the way Kṛṣṇa's divinity is experienced, not by a simple physical route from one to another. This scheme is separate from the chart's concentric sacred islands around .

  • Gokula / VṛndāvanaMādhurya — cowherd pastimes, Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa, gopīs, gopas, Nanda, Yaśodā, Govardhana, Yamunā
The register of complete informality — no titles, no protocol, just presence. This is where love needs no justification.
  • MathurāKṛṣṇa's appearance and city pastimes
Where sweetness meets growing awareness of who Kṛṣṇa actually is — intimacy that hasn't yet hardened into formality.
  • DvārakāYadu dynasty, queens, palace life, royal pastimes
Majesty and love coexisting — the reminder that reverence and closeness aren't opposites.
