Twenty-four Viṣṇu Forms

The chart may use two display orders. The traditional name cycle can begin with Keśava, while the divine-forms side panel may begin with the four Catur-vyūhaCatur-vyūhaCHUH-toor VYOO-huhThe four original personal expansions: Vāsudeva, Saṅkarṣaṇa, Pradyumna, Aniruddha. forms—Vāsudeva, Saṅkarṣaṇa, Pradyumna, and Aniruddha—before continuing with Keśava. Keep the order attached to the particular panel instead of treating one order as a correction of the other.

Divine-forms side panel, and echoed as the name-cycle order within the second Vaikuṇṭha circle — the two panels use different starting points for the same twenty-four names.

The forms are traditionally distinguished by different arrangements of the conch, discus, club, and lotus. Add exact hand-position data only after checking the intended chart panel or source edition.

Two orderings of the same twenty-four names isn't an error waiting to be resolved. A tradition can keep more than one way of telling something true without either one canceling the other.
