Ayodhyā
A different kind of devotion
Where Goloka's devotion is playful and spontaneous, Ayodhyā's is shaped by maryādā — duty, dignity, and loyalty carried out even when it costs something. Rāma is loved here not primarily as playmate or child but as the exemplary son, husband, brother, and king, and Hanumān's service toward him is the tradition's own clearest picture of as a complete devotion in its own right, not a lesser one.
Its own tradition, not a branch of this one
This chart places Ayodhyā here because tradition honors Rāma as a full incarnation of Kṛṣṇa's own source, not because Rāma-centered devotion is secondary. Rāmānandī and other Rāma-focused traditions understand Ayodhyā, and Rāma himself, as the supreme goal in their own right — a complete devotional world on its own terms, not a waypoint on someone else's chart.
