End of Cāturmāsya
Utthāna / Prabodhinī Ekādaśī
Dates follow the Māyāpur (India) reckoning, the base of most published Vaiṣṇava calendars. The tradition sets each day by the tithi present at local sunrise, so your own date may fall a day earlier or later — see the calendar for your city.
Utthāna Ekādaśī ends the Cāturmāsya vows. It is framed as the day Viṣṇu rises from the four months of yogic sleep on the Causal Ocean — the same reclining form the chart places at the lowest layer of the material creation. Marriages and other auspicious undertakings that were paused for the season resume after it.
