Govardhana Pūjā
Annakūṭa
Dates follow the Māyāpur (India) reckoning, the base of most published Vaiṣṇava calendars. The tradition sets each day by the tithi present at local sunrise, so your own date may fall a day earlier or later — see the calendar for your city.
The Bhāgavata's account: Kṛṣṇa persuades the cowherds to stop the annual sacrifice to Indra and honour Govardhana Hill and the land that actually feeds them; Indra retaliates with a week of storm; Kṛṣṇa lifts the hill on one finger as an umbrella for the whole community. Govardhana Pūjā is kept with a "hill" of food (annakūṭa) offered and distributed. It sits in the chart's region as the pastime that defines that region's mood — intimacy over majesty.
