Appearance of Vāmanadeva

Vāmanadeva appeared as a short brāhmaṇa boy at the sacrifice of Bali Mahārāja and asked for as much land as he could cover in three steps. Granted it, he expanded to cross the entire universe in two and, for the third, accepted Bali's own head.
